Every business is unique, with a distinct set of products or services to offer. Effectively showcasing these offerings is crucial in attracting potential customers and setting your business apart from competitors.

Google My Business (GMB) offers a simple yet effective tool to do this through your Business Profile: the Product Editor function.

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to add your products or services to your GMB listing, improving visibility and enticing customers to visit your store or website.

Step 1: Log in to your GMB account

Start by logging in to your Google My Business account. Select the location you want to manage if you have more than one.

This step ensures you’re adding or updating the products or services for the right location.

Step 2: Access the Product Editor

Once logged in, navigate to the “Products” tab in the Business Profile Manager. This is where you’ll add or manage your product offerings.

Step 3: Add Your Products or Services

To add a new product or service, click on the “Add product” button. Fill out the required fields with the relevant information about your product or service.

This might include the name, description, price, and a high-quality photo.

Step 4: Manage Your Product Listings

Your product listings aren’t static; you can update them as necessary. To edit or delete products, simply select them from the product list.

This allows you to keep your offerings current and accurately represented.

Step 5: Showcase Your Star Products or Services

GMB gives you the option to highlight specific products or services. To showcase an item, make a minor update to the listing to bring it to the top of your catalog.

This can help draw attention to new, popular, or promotional items.

Step 6: Note on Menus and Services Lists

If your business has a menu or services list provided by a third party, it’s crucial to note that adding an item to the Product Catalog will delete the menu or services list. However, you can recreate your menu or services list through the Menu or Services Editor in the Business Profile Manager.

By following these steps, your products or services can be effectively showcased on your GMB listing.

This not only helps potential customers understand what your business has to offer, but also improves your visibility in search results.

Harness the power of Google My Business and let your products or services shine!
